    What each LG appliance error code means, the usual cause, and the fix. Always unplug the appliance before inspecting parts.

    OELG OE β€” Drain Error

    The washer cannot drain water. Similar to Samsung's SE code. Common symptoms: Standing water in drum; Cycle interrupted; Error displayed on panel.

    Cause: - Clogged drain filter - Drain hose blocked - Pump failure - Installation issue

    Fix: 1. Clean drain pump filter 2. Inspect and clear drain hose 3. Run a spin-only cycle 4. Check for kinks in drain line

    LG Washer error codes

    CLChild lock on

    The control panel is locked.

    Cause: Child Lock activated.

    Fix: Hold the Child Lock button (often Temp + Spin) for 3 seconds.

    DEDoor error

    The door is not closed or the lock failed (dE, dE1, dE2).

    Cause: Clothing in the door, broken door lock.

    Fix: Close the door firmly. Replace the door lock if needed.

    FEOverfill error

    Too much water in the tub.

    Cause: Faulty inlet valve or pressure sensor.

    Fix: Turn off water, unplug, and call a technician to test the inlet valve.

    IEWater inlet error

    The washer is not filling with water.

    Cause: Closed taps, clogged inlet screens, low water pressure.

    Fix: Open taps fully, clean inlet hose screens, and check the hoses for kinks.

    LELocked motor error

    The motor is overloaded or locked.

    Cause: Overloading, failed motor or motor wiring.

    Fix: Reduce the load, unplug for 10 minutes, and restart. Persistent codes need a technician.

    OEDrain error

    Water is not draining properly.

    Cause: Clogged drain pump filter, kinked or frozen drain hose.

    Fix: Clean the drain pump filter, check the drain hose, and run Rinse+Spin.

    PEPressure sensor error

    The water level sensor is not working.

    Cause: Clogged or disconnected pressure hose, faulty sensor.

    Fix: Unplug, restart. If it returns, have the sensor tested.

    TEHeating error

    The temperature sensor is faulty (tE).

    Cause: Failed thermistor or heater.

    Fix: Have the thermistor and heater tested.

    UEUnbalanced load

    The load is unbalanced and spin is limited.

    Cause: Single heavy items or too-small loads.

    Fix: Redistribute the load and add similar items to balance it.
